Give yourself "A" mom ......

Between navigating motherhood and trying to silence that inner voice that keeps reminding us of all the times we didn’t get it quite right, it can all become overwhelming. We tend to be too hard on ourselves as moms. Between navigating motherhood and trying to silence that inner voice that keeps reminding us of all the times we didn’t get it quite right, it can all become overwhelming Despite the challenges, you keep showing up with a smile and that alone deserves an ‘A’! If you’re not convinced, here are more reasons why you deserve it… You’re doing your best Oprah Winfrey once said that “when you know better, you do better”, and this couldn’t be truer for moms. You might be looking around and comparing yourself to other parents, but you have no idea what their journey is about. When you catch yourself feeling less than amazing, remember that you’re doing your best and that’s good enough for your little one. You are wondering if you’re doing enough Just the fact you’r

Saying from Walt Disney

1.  Even brilliant and optimistic people can reach a point of giving up.  Everyone needs encouragement and recognition.    2.   Doing something in a different way ALWAYS brings resistance.  Every successful innovation will prove popular opinion wrong.  You've got to be willing to go against the crowd.   3.  Past failures are often the foundation for future success so don't concede your ideas too quickly.  Have the courage and the patience to allow failure to be an acceptable and expected part of the process so that success can be built from the lessons learned.    4.  Talent can be easily overlooked when it looks different from the norm.  The Hollywood establishment didn't understand Disney or his vision.  For many years they missed his brilliance.  How many talented and gifted people have been overlooked and written off by managers and companies because they didn't fit the mold?  And, just like Disney, how many of those employees have gone on to great success so

Perspective is something you must choose every single day.  You don't get to live off of yesterday's optimism, nor should you be destined to live in yesterday's disappointment.  Every day is yours to choose. Not a day goes by that I don't wonder how many years I have left to live.  One thing is certain, the supply is limited (and dwindling).  I want desperately to see the good things around me, to see the best in people, even when their best isn't visible.   We find what we look for.   If we look for the negatives, they'll certainly be found.  If we look for the positives, they will always abound.  So, I do my best to choose wisely.  Everyday.  Whether the glass is half empty or full doesn't really matter.  Just be grateful you're alive, appreciate that you have a glass, and be happy there's something in it at all.
